Trying My Patients

As I said last month, I felt that Diagnosis: LOB was getting a little stale. Not so much in the posts but in the name and what it stood for. Like everything, things change and what I set out to do certainly changed. My initial plan was to share the funny jobs and see what happens! I wanted to talk about the Load Of Bollocks that we sometime have to go to but over the months I found that there was much more I was talking about. Thoughts, feeling, opinions all came flooding out into my writing and the title of my blog didn't reflect how I was now writing.

I came up with loads of ideas for a new name and whittled it down to 3. As my readers are the people who have kept me writing I decided to let you decide. Typically, the 2 names I couldn't decide between got the exact same number of votes so I was back to square one! So here were are! On the toss of a coin my blog is now called Trying My Patients. If you don't like it, well.....tough. My blood pressure has raised quite sufficiently to warrant not changing it again for at least a year!!

The website itself looks different and will be evolving as the days goes by so bare with me. Any ideas for the artwork / photo will be greatly appreciated! Thank again for your continued support!

    1. I considered it but to be honest, the lure of seeing me edge towards 100,000 hits was to much to leave! Had 23,000 last month! Should be at 100,000 by mid July I reckon!!

  9. Loving the new name and layout! Have to say not a big fan of the font, finding it really hard to read the posts. Just thought you'd want to know. Keep up the excellent writing.

  10. Great blog, nice new layout, but could you change the RSS feed as it still points to the old address- see http://www.tryingmypatients.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss , it results in

    Invalid content type: www.diagnosislob.com

    2. I'm not sure, but it worked before and it doesn't work any more. I guess it's in the control panel somewhere, and hoped someone else could dive in and explain!

RSS is a simple way of keeping track of multiple blogs etc in one place (e.g. I use 'Sage' in Firefox as an RSS reader. It means we don't have to visit the page each time to see if there's a new article and don't miss any of the great writing if you publish several between visits!

After a quick google, http://www.ehow.com/how_2050575_add-rss-feed-blogger.html or the blogger help at http://support.google.com/blogger/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=97933 might be the info that you need. At the minute the RSS has changed to "Invalid content type: www.tryingmypatients.com", so you're getting closer!
