Time for change

"26 year old female, wanting to change things up"

I've been writing my blog now for a little over 6 months. The reaction has been amazing! I've been nominated for a number of awards and the support I have received has been fantastic. When I started the blog and named it Diagnosis: LOB I had simply aimed to share the funny, farcical jobs that were indeed a Load Of Bollocks. To a point I still do and that will always be a part of my blog, but I found myself doing a lot more posts about personal feelings, healthcare, politics and the NHS and I don't think Diagnosis: LOB is a suitable title for what the blog has become. To that end, I'm going to re-name and re-brand. Change is a good thing and I don't want it to become stale. At the same time I want the people who read it to have a say in what it becomes. I have always liked to engage as many people as possible in my posts, hence the increasing number of joint and guest bloggers I have. I have come up with 3 names that I feel are a) more appropriate and b) don't set a negative tone to what I am writing about. They are:

  • Wearin' Green, Livin' the Dream
  • Trying my Patients
  • Blue Lights & Bandages

I've set up a poll on the right hand side of the website for you to vote for your favourite. I will take the most popular and continue under that name. If you have any other suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks again for all the great feedback you have given me!

  1. I think that 'Trying my Patients' is perfectly apt for the style of your blog, and definitely how most of us in London feel at the moment!

    1. Ive said it once before and i'll say it again. In the words of French Guard in Monty Python and the Holy Grail... "I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper!...... I fart in your general direction! . Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"

  3. Please ignore the above sad individual Troll Ella, clearly they love your blog as they are here every week still reading it, pathetic. Love how self deluded they are to think they speak on behalf of everyone else, surely if "most others" thought the same there would be more of those comments...nope, just you then, fuck off and be a miserable corporate kiss arse somewhere else and leave this blog for those of us who enjoy and believe in its content. Good luck with the relaunch chick, we believe in and support you x

  4. I'm with Gem, Anonymous (15:34) should just crawl back under a rock with the other creepy crawlies. If he/she doesn't like your blog they should just stop reading it. I love reading about your wierd and wonderful patients, keep up the good work Ella!

  8. I take it anonymous 15:34 is the original, one and only, famous anonymous troll first heard of when Diagnosis: LOB was up for awards? Thought so.

  9. I think your blog should be called 'the girl in green' I think you referred to yourself as this in a previous post.

I love comments! All bloggers do! If you have something to say, agree or disagree I would love to hear it! I will reply to all! (or try my very best!) If however, you're a troll, save your breath!

Due to an increase in spam I moderate comments but ALL genuine comments will be posted. See above exclusions!
